Research: Moral philosophy (metaethics, medical ethics, military ethics), and philosophy of language (speech-act theory, pragmatics).

Co-Editor of Moral Constraints on War: Principles and Cases (Rowman & Littlefield, 2nd ed. 2008); Hare and Critics: Essays on "Moral Thinking". Currently writing a book on the topic of moral thinking.
