Research: Ethics, moral psychology, feminist thought.

Selected Publications: Author of Narrative and the Natural Law: An Interpretation of Thomistic Ethics (Notre Dame 1994). Articles published in Political Theory, American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly, and Medieval Philosophy and Theology.

Currently writing on tragedy and virtue ethics, on saints and moral exemplars.

Fellowships and Honors: Emory Williams Distinguished Teaching Award in the Humanities, 1992; Massée-Martin/NEH Distinguished Teaching Chair, 1998-2002.
