Research: ethics, legal theory, critical theory, American Philosophy especially pragmatism, and social and political philosophy.

Selected Publications: Author of Legal Pragmatism (Indiana, 2007). Articles, chapters, and reviews published in The Yale Law Journal, Journal of Speculative Philosophy, Pragmatist Bioethics, New German Critique, Philosophy in American Law (Cambridge, forthcoming 2009) and Transactions of the Charles S. Peirce Society.

Current Projects include a book on ethics and institutional structure and an article on the reconstruction of legitimacy in contemporary social and political philosophy.
